KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Renowned celebrity chef Chef Khiew has introduced his latest menu, ‘Rasa Bonda’, which elevates Chinese heritage cuisine through inspiration drawn from classic Guangdong and Hong Kong dishes in a contemporary halal version.
Without compromising the authenticity of its flavours, the Rasa Bonda menu is inspired by the traditional dish Poon Choi, which is typically served in a single large bowl to be enjoyed communally, symbolising family values, unity and prosperity, InHome Dining Sdn Bhd said.
Rasa Bonda features premium ingredients such as meat, seafood, fresh vegetables and special sauces, arranged in layers and cooked together, allowing each layer to absorb the flavours to produce a rich and appetising taste.
The recipe was also inspired by memories of Chef Kiew’s friend’s mother, who diligently prepared the dish for her family every festive season.
The dish is complemented by a rich gravy and aromatic spices, which create a distinctive and nostalgic experience.
“Priced at RM168, the Rasa Bonda set combines a selection of seafood, meatballs and a special sauce, suitable for four to six people,” InHome Dining Sdn Bhd said in a statement today.
Rasa Bonda was recently launched at an event attended by 20 influencers, who will promote the menu on TikTok, and is available on InHome Dining Sdn Bhd’s TikTok shop.
The exclusive pre-launch also marks Chef Khiew’s continued commitment to introducing diverse culinary heritage in halal versions without sacrificing authentic flavours and traditional values.
