14/03/2026 04:55 PM

TOKYO, March 14 (Bernama-Kyodo) -- North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile Saturday, the Japanese Defence Ministry announced, with a source saying it had apparently fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.

Kyodo News Agency reported that no damage from the launch has been reported so far.

South Korea's military said North Korea fired at least one unidentified projectile in an eastward direction.

North Korea last fired two ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan on Jan. 27, which were also assessed to have fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
