KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- Resorts World Genting (RWG) is bringing extra festive cheer to this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri with its “Jom Raya Kaw Kaw 2026” campaign, set to run from March 13 to April 12, offering a vibrant lineup of activities for families and visitors.
In a statement, RWG said the campaign will feature popular Care Bears characters as the main attraction at Kimhua Atrium, blending pop culture nostalgia with festive decorations to give visitors a joyful Syawal experience.
“Fans will have the chance to join the Care Bears Meet and Greet sessions on weekends from March 14 to 28, 2026, where they can meet Cheer Bear and Grumpy Bear, take photos, and create lasting festive memories.
“Visitors can also explore the Care Bears-themed merchandise pop-up shop throughout the event, where they will find a variety of exclusive items and collectibles perfect as gifts or keepsakes,” he said.
RWG is also introducing various interactive activities under the ‘Spend and Participate’ programme, such as the Raya Coaster Painting Workshop on weekends from March 14 to 22 at Kimhua Atrium and the opportunity to create festive memories at the Care Bears Digital Photobooth.
RWG is also organising the “Kurma Sejuta Rasa” campaign from March 7 to 20, allowing visitors who follow the official SkyAvenue media platform to redeem a free pack of dates at the Zouk Atrium Information Counter (Level 1), subject to daily availability.
Through the “Syawal Redemption” (Shop and Redeem) programme, running from March 14 to April 12, visitors who meet a minimum spending amount can redeem a variety of exclusive items, including Care Bears Raya envelopes, shopping vouchers, and limited-edition merchandise at the Information Counter.
“As part of the Jom Raya Kaw Kaw campaign, RWG is organising a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme on March 28, 2026, at Kimhua Atrium, inviting underprivileged children to share in the joy of Hari Raya at the resort,” it said.
At the Pavilion Hall, visitors are mesmerised by a slowly rotating crescent moon and star-shaped carousel, set against a luminous arch and grand-scale lamp structures that are perfect for capturing unforgettable photos.
“Visitors also have the chance to explore a variety of Raya goods at seasonal sales stalls around the Pavilion Hall. For those who enjoy hands-on activities, sand art sessions are available, allowing them to create their own colourful designs in a relaxed and fun setting,” the statement said.
Throughout the festive season, RWG said SkyAvenue will come alive with daily entertainment, featuring spectacular performances such as the Raya Mana Dance Show, Raya Robot Show, Wayang Kulit, Cak Lempung, and Dikir Barat, alongside traditional dance showcases at the Kimhua Atrium and Pavilion Hall from March 20 to 29.
Food lovers can delight in special festive offerings around the resort, including the Aidilfitri Set at Jom Makan SkyAvenue (Level G) priced at RM45 until March 23, showcasing signature dishes like ayam percik, nasi minyak, and classic traditional desserts.
Visitors can also head to Jom Makan Street Food (Level 4) to enjoy Aneka Kerabu, featuring an assortment of traditional dishes and special beverages like bandung cincau with vanilla ice cream.
For a unique experience, visitors can create Raya family portraits at the AI Photobooth from March 12 to 22, free of charge with a minimum spend of RM50 in a single receipt at Malaysian Food Street or Jom Makan Street Food, or for RM10 for those without a purchase.
Guests can enjoy a diverse culinary journey with standout dishes like Ayam Masak Merah served with nasi tomato at the Lobby Café, while Trattoria Il Lago serves Spicy Assam Seafood Spaghetti, a fusion of local and international flavours.
At Resorts World Awana, the celebrations continue with “Riang Raya Kaw Kaw” from Marct 9 to April 5, offering a variety of cultural activities, including traditional Malay games, Jawi calligraphy, batik, and other creative workshops that allow visitors to engage closely with Hari Raya traditions.
To complete the festive experience, RWG is offering “Cuti-Cuti Raya” packages, featuring a range of accommodation options and relaxing activities, including nature-inspired experiences and family-friendly programmes such as Junior Little Baker, Nature Little Planter, and Wellness Painting.
