JOHOR BAHRU, March 25 (Bernama) -- Ranhill SAJ has partnered with Yes to offer Johor households a RM10.50 monthly voucher credited to their water bill for six months through selected broadband subscriptions, in a move to ease living costs while enhancing digital connectivity across the state.
Under the collaboration, eligible residents who subscribe to Yes 5G broadband plans will receive the voucher, combining essential services to support households while advancing Johor’s digital agenda.
Ranhill SAJ Interim chief executive officer (CEO) Mohd Hedzir Hanafi said the initiative reflects the company’s continued commitment to improving the well-being of the communities it serves.
“Our role goes beyond delivering safe and reliable water services. We are committed to improving everyday living for the households we serve.
“Through this collaboration with Yes, we are able to introduce meaningful savings for families while encouraging greater digital engagement through the Ranhill SAJ app. It is another step towards building a more connected and digitally empowered Johor,” he said in a joint statement today.
As Johor’s water services provider, Ranhill SAJ supplies treated water to households and businesses statewide, while internet connectivity has become increasingly important in supporting education, work and access to digital services.
Through the Yes broadband plans, households can enjoy uncapped 5G data and speeds from RM68 per month, while benefiting from the water bill voucher.
Customers will also receive a complimentary router and one year of iQIYI access as part of the package. The plug-and-play home WiFi setup requires no wired installation, allowing for quick and convenient connectivity.
YTL Communications CEO Wing K Lee said the partnership demonstrates how connectivity can complement essential services to support communities.
“Reliable internet connectivity has become a necessity for households today. Through this collaboration with Ranhill SAJ, we are proud to bring Malaysia’s 5G network into more Johor homes,” he said.
The initiative also aims to encourage greater digital engagement among Johor residents.
Customers are encouraged to download the Ranhill SAJ mobile app to manage their water accounts, access billing information and receive service updates.
Johor residents can participate by downloading the Ranhill SAJ mobile app, signing up for an eligible Yes broadband plan, and submitting their SAJ water account number for verification.
Once verified and activated, they will receive the RM10.50 monthly voucher credited to their water bill for six months. Subscriptions can also be made via the Yes website or at selected Yes Stores across Johor.
