KUANTAN, March 28 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, today carried out an aerial inspection of the current water levels of Sungai Pahang, following the hot and dry weather affecting the country.
The Pahang Sultanate, in a Facebook post, said that His Royal Highness conducted the aerial survey while travelling from Bera to Pekan.
“The hot and dry season currently affecting the country has drawn His Royal Highness’ attention to personally observe the river’s water levels, to ensure that all parties remain prepared for the well-being of the people,” the post said.
Earlier, the Pahang Ruler also urged the public to step up precautionary measures and avoid open burning due to the current hot and dry weather.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also advised the public to ensure adequate water intake, reduce outdoor activities during the day, and take necessary precautions, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with health conditions.
