KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking gains on the United States COMEX gold market.
At the close, the spot-month April 2026 contract rose to US$4,724.20 per troy ounce from US$4,670.00 per troy ounce, and the May 2026 contract rose to US$4,744.30 per troy ounce from US$4,689.30 per troy ounce on Friday last week.
The June, July, and August 2026 contracts also finished higher at US$4,763.60 per troy ounce, up from US$4,708.60 previously.
Trading volume remained at seven lots as of Friday last week, while open interest edged down to 57 contracts from 58 contracts.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,639.35 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on April 2, 2026.
