KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Bernama) -- Main Market-listed engineering services group, AWC Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Qudotech Sdn Bhd, has inked a RM22.18 million contract from a joint venture contractor (awarder) in relation to a data centre project.

The identity of the awarder has not been disclosed in accordance with confidentiality requirements under the agreement, said AWC in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.

The contract, which was secured through a letter of award on Tuesday, is expected to be completed by Dec 27, 2026.

AWC president and group chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said the contract reflects the trust of their partners in their ability to deliver specialised works for data centre projects.

“This is our engineering division’s second data centre contract win in the financial year 2026. This win further reinforces our strategy to expand our presence in high-tech and mission-critical infrastructure projects,” he said in a statement.

Ahmad Kabeer said the group remain vigilant in view of the new tariff measures and the ongoing conflict in West Asia and its consequential effects on global oil prices, trade flows, and investor sentiment.

“We will continue to monitor these developments closely and manage our business prudently to safeguard the group’s performance and long-term interests,” he said.
