KUALA NERUS, May 8 (Bernama) -- Terengganu FC (TFC) failed to capitalise on their home-ground advantage after falling 1-3 to Imigresen FC in a Malaysia Super League clash at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium (SSMZA) tonight.

The "Turtles" squad, entering the match with a must-win mission, started brilliantly when import defender Raianderson Da Costa netted the opening goal in the 6th minute, courtesy of a clinical finish from a Yann Mabella pass.

However, the early lead did not dampen the visitors' spirits, as they doubled their pressure in search of an equaliser and their efforts paid off in the 18th minute when Muhammad Fayadh Mohd Zulkifli Amin’s cross deflected off TFC defender Diego Landis and into his own net, leveling the score at 1-1.

Imigresen FC then took the lead in the 32nd minute after the referee awarded a penalty following a foul by Muhammad Hairiey Hakim Mamat on Wilmar Jordan inside the box.

Wilmar calmly converted the spot-kick to put the visitors ahead 2-1.

As the second half resumed, Eduardo Sosa added to the hosts' misery by firing in Imigresen FC’s third goal from inside the penalty area in the 47th minute.

Stunned by the goal, TFC attempted to launch a comeback but failed to breach the visitors' defence, leaving the 3-1 scoreline intact until the final whistle.

Meanwhile, in an action at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium (MPS), PDRM FC and Penang FC shared the spoils in 1-1 draw with both goals coming in thr first half.

Penang opened the scoring through OJ Porteria in the 34th minute, before PDRM equalised via an own goal by Penang midfielder Kamil Jaser Rendon Amirul just before the halftime break.
