13 Dead, 3 Injured In Central China Road Accident

ZHENGZHOU (China), May 28 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Thirteen people were killed and three others injured after an overloaded passenger van rear-ended a semi-trailer truck on an expressway in central Henan Province early Thursday morning, according to local authorities, reported Xinhua.

The crash occurred at about 2.40 am on Thursday along an expressway section in Nanyang. The nine-seat passenger van was carrying 16 people at the time of the accident.

The Ministry of Public Security has dispatched a work team to Nanyang to guide the investigation and response efforts.
