PUTRAJAYA, May 30 (Bernama) -- The RM100 book voucher incentive for students of higher education institutions is seen as an initiative that will nurture a stronger intellectual culture on campus and further strengthen reading habits among students.
The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in a statement today, said the incentive is also seen as measure that encourages students to continue cultivating reading habits, thereby strengthening a knowledge-seeking culture.
“It is not only a meaningful incentive for students, but also a significant investment in the ministry’s efforts to develop the country’s finest talent who are holistic and competitive,” said the ministry.
MOHE said that further information regarding the conditions, implementation methods and voucher redemption process will be detailed soon.
The ministry expressed its appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for announcing the incentive, describing it as a timely initiative to strengthen students’ enthusiasm in the pursuit of knowledge.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister announced the provision of book vouchers for secondary school students under the Ministry of Education and students at public higher education institutions.
He said the vouchers could be used at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2026, being held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) from yesterday until June 7.
