PUTRAJAYA, June 19 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated all 2025 Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) candidates who received their results yesterday, including candidates from Bagan Datuk, Perak.
In a post on his official Facebook page today, Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, was very proud when Bagan Datuk emerged as the best district in Perak in STPM 2025 with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.25 and recorded 100 per cent full pass rate.
"I would like to congratulate everyone. Regardless of the results obtained, I believe that every effort and determination that has been poured into the entire learning period is a success that is worth being proud of.
"I am also proud of the achievements of the children of Bagan Datuk. Alhamdulillah, this proves that the students of Bagan Datuk were able to stand tall and compete with excellence at the state and national levels," said Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk.
He also expressed congratulations and thanks to the students, teachers, parents and all the education community of Bagan Datuk who have played a big role in creating this proud success.
He urged all candidates to continue to move forward with confidence and make this achievement a starting point to achieve greater ambitions in the future.
"Hopefully this excellence can continue to be maintained and be an inspiration to the next generation," he said.
The overall achievement of STPM 2025 examination candidates showed an improvement with the national CGPA increasing to 2.88 compared to 2.85 in the previous year.
Bagan Datuk was announced as the best district in Perak for STPM 2025 results with an excellent CGPA of 3.25 compared to 3.22 in 2024.
