PM Anwar Wishes Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka A Happy 70th Anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended his greetings on the 70th anniversary of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).

He said DBP’s seven-decade journey was built on the sweat, courage and loyalty of past generations safeguarding the identity of the Malaysian nation.

“May the blessing of the warrior spirit (Restu Jiwa Pahlawan) continue to dwell in the hearts of all language advocates and the workforce of this sacred institution, thereby restoring our fighting spirit to continue elevating the nation's language, literature and culture.

“Happy 70th Anniversary to Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka,” he said in a post on his Facebook page.

This year's 70th anniversary celebration of DBP carries the theme ‘Restu Jiwa Pahlawan’.
