25/06/2024 07:43 PM

RABAT, June 25 (Bernama-MAP) -- Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has ordered the deployment of a humanitarian medical aid operation for Gaza's Palestinian population, Maghreb Arabe Press (MAP) news agency reported quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates.

The aid, consisting of 40 tonnes of medical products, includes equipment for treating burns and surgical and traumatological emergencies, as well as essential medicines for both adults and children, according to the ministry press release.

The King has agreed to cover a large part of the aid from the sovereign's personal funds.

The Moroccan aid will be transported via the same land route used for the food aid operation deployed on the sovereign's instructions last Ramadan.

The large-scale humanitarian operations reflect the King’s commitment and concern for the Palestinian cause.
