NEW YORK, July 4 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.3 per cent to 105.404 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to US$1.0780 from US$1.0742 in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to US$1.2736 from US$1.2684 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 161.66 Japanese yen, higher than 161.49 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar was down to 0.9018 Swiss francs from 0.9043 Swiss francs, and it dropped to 1.3637 Canadian dollars from 1.3675 Canadian dollars. The US dollar declined to 10.5127 Swedish kronor from 10.5904 Swedish kronor.
