BAHRAIN’S NEW AMBASSADOR EMPHASISES STRENGTHENING HISTORICAL TIES WITH MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Bernama) -- The newly-appointed Ambassador of Bahrain to Malaysia, Dr Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, has emphasised the importance of supporting and strengthening the robust historical relations between Malaysia and Bahrain and elevating them to new heights for mutual benefit.

The statement came as Al Manea presented his credentials to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at Istana Negara in Malaysia’s capital on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Bahrain in Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim congratulated the ambassador for his appointment, wished him success in his diplomatic mission, and stressed His Majesty’s support for efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Malaysia at all levels.

At the ceremony, Al Manea conveyed to Sultan Ibrahim the greetings of the King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The ambassador also conveyed their wishes for the Malaysian King’s continued health and well-being, including for further development and prosperity for Malaysia, the statement said.

Sultan Ibrahim instructed Al Manea to convey his greetings to the King of Bahrain and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain for further development and prosperity.
