KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Bernama) -- Selangor Red Giants (SRG) became the first Malaysian team to qualify for the final of the Mid Season Cup Mobile Legend Bang Bang (MLBB) 2024 championship after defeating Singapore’s NIP Flash in Riyadh tonight.
In the semi-finals using the ‘best of five’ format, Michael Bocada’s charges, better known as Arcadia, started the match well to score 15 kills against eight in almost 15 minutes for an easy win.
They kept up their winning momentum in Match 2, taking only 12 minutes to score 19 ‘kills’ against nine.
In the third match, SRG recovered from an early falter to draw 17-17 and qualify for the final.
Commenting on the victory, John Vincent Banal, who is better known as Innocent, said he is happy with the performance of his team.
“This win will help us in our final match tomorrow and boost our momentum. We will just remain humble and enjoy the game. I think the match will be tough because our opponent is a great team,” he said after the match, which was telecast live on the Professional Mobile Legends (MPL) Malaysia League Facebook account.
In tomorrow’s final, the Malaysian team will face Team Falcons AP Bren Sport, who beat Liquid Echo 3-1 in the other semi-final yesterday.
