SINGAPORE, July 16 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Singapore Airlines (SIA) transported over 2.16 million passengers last month, up 13.9 per cent year-on-year, according to the latest operating statistics, reported Xinhua.
The low-cost airline Scoot within the same group recorded nearly 1.04 million passengers in June, a year-on-year growth of two per cent.
The cargo loads of SIA Group increased 24.9 per cent year-on-year last month, supported by robust e-commerce market and demand spillover resulting from sea freight disruptions and port congestion.
The SIA Group's passenger network covered 125 destinations as of June, and the cargo network comprised 129 destinations.
