DOHA, July 20 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- Saudi airline Flynas said it is back to normal operations after fixing a global technical outage that delayed the departure of its flights, reported Sputnik.

"We inform our valued customers that the airline has started to return to normal operations, we ask all travellers to follow their flight information on the airline's website," the airline said on Friday.

Earlier on Friday, the administration of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh announced the restoration of the airport's operations after the technological disruption.

On Friday morning, a global failure of Windows-based equipment affected telecommunications operators, banks and airlines around the world. US company CrowdStrike confirmed that the global failure had occurred due to its update for the Falcon Sensor cybersecurity application.
