MOSCOW, July 22 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- The son of US billionaire George Soros, Alexander Soros, has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's nominee for US president ahead of the election, reported Sputnik.
"It’s time for us all to unite around Kamala Harris and beat (former US President) Donald Trump. She is the best and most qualified candidate we have. Long live the American Dream!" Soros wrote on X on Sunday.
On Sunday, incumbent US President Joe Biden said that he would withdraw from the presidential race and endorsed Harris to be the Democratic Party's nominee for US president.
George Soros' Open Society Foundations have more than once been accused of being used in campaigns to undermine national governments and change the course of elections in a number of countries. Soros himself does not deny that his money helped to carry out the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in 2004 and Euromaidan in 2013.
