KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has provided assistance to the family of Sheikh Abdullah Amirul Sheikh Abu Bakar, who was involved in a road accident last year.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said that Sheikh Abdullah Amirul was now bedridden and unresponsive due to the accident, with his medical expenses amounting to thousands of ringgit each month.
"The situation worsened when his father, Sheikh Abu Bakar, lost his job, further impacting the family’s financial stability.
"I am deeply moved by the plight of this family. I pray for the sustained recovery of young Sheikh Abdullah Amirul. May Allah ease their affairs and grant them the strength to face this challenge, insya-Allah," the post read.
Anwar added that the assistance, aimed at easing the medical and daily living costs of the family, was delivered by his political secretary, Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, on his behalf.
