MOSCOW, July 26 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- Former US president Barack Obama has been sharing his experience with Vice President Kamala Harris and is expected to endorse her presidential bid soon, reported Sputnik on Friday, citing The New York Times.
Obama has not publicly expressed his support for Harris, but he has reportedly been in regular touch with the presumptive Democratic nominee, mentoring her behind the scenes and interacting with his former assistants, who may help her campaign.
President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he would withdraw from the presidential race and endorsed Harris as the Democratic Party's nominee.
Obama was notably absent from the line of Democrats who supported Harris as Biden's successor. He said instead he was confident that the Democratic Party would be able to organise a process to find the right presidential candidate.
