KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
Spot month July 2024 rose 13 points to 1,626.5, while August 2024 and September 2024 increased 8.5 points to 1,626 and 1,609.5 respectively, and December 2024 gained 10.5 points to 1,618.5.
Turnover jumped to 91,049 lots from 33,025 last Friday, while open interest soared to 143,335 contracts from 81,910 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 11.68 points or 0.72 per cent to 1,624.56 from Friday's close of 1,612.88.
