TOKYO, Aug 9 (Bernama-Kyodo) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 jolted Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo on Friday, with no tsunami warning issued, reported Kyodo news agency, quoting Japan's weather agency.
The quake at 7.57 pm measured at a lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7, in western Kanagawa Prefecture, according to the agency.
The focus of the quake was 10 kilometers underground.
