PARIS, Sept 1 (Bernama) -- Here are brief updates on Malaysian athletes on the fourth day of the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, on Sunday (Sept 1).

 

TRACK CYCLING: 

 

National representatives, Nur Azlia Syafinaz Mohd Zais and Nurul Suhada Zainal (pilot), were unable to secure a medal in the Women's B 3,000 metres individual pursuit (visually impaired) after their race ended in the qualifying round.

Nur Azlia Syafinaz and Nurul Suhada clocked 3 minutes 49.029 seconds, placing eighth in the competition at the Velodrome de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

Only the top two riders advance to the gold medal race, while those finishing third and fourth in the qualifying round compete for the bronze medal.

Great Britain's Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl emerged as the top riders with a time of 3:17.643s, breaking the previous world record held by Lora Fachie and Corrine Hall from the same country, which was 3:19.483s set at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
