RAMALLAH, Sept 5 (Bernama-WAFA) -- Palestine’s official media condemned on Thursday the Israeli detention of Palestine TV correspondent Ali Dar Ali after Israeli occupation forces raided his home in the village of Burham, northwest of Ramallah.

The official media confirmed in a press release that the detention and abuse of journalists will not deter its staff from performing their duty towards the Palestinian people and their just cause, or from exposing Israeli practices and crimes, the Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.

It pointed out that Ali Dar Ali's detention is part of Israel's broader targeting of Palestinian media, particularly the official media, aimed at concealing the truth and intimidating journalists, especially amid the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The official media called on the International Federation of Journalists to provide protection for journalists, especially given the difficult circumstances faced by the Palestinian people due to the ongoing aggression, so that they can continue to convey the truth and expose the occupation and its crimes to the world.
