BEIJING, Sept 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The following are the indices of major stock markets in Asia on Tuesday, as reported by Xinhua.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2,737.88 points, up by 1.39 points, or 0.05 per cent.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased by 1.13 points, or 0.01 per cent, to open at 8,064.40 points.
The Hang Seng Index climbed 8.46 points, or 0.05 per cent, to open at 17,205.42 points.
The S&P/ASX 200 index opened 53.80 points, or 0.67 per cent higher, to open at 8,041.90 points.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 170.37 points, or 0.47 per cent, to open at 36,386.12 points.
The Straits Times Index advanced 11.85 points, or 0.34 per cent at opening, to 3,508.38 points.
Meanwhile, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index opened at 2,542.69 points, up by 6.76 points, or 0.27 per cent.
