NEW YORK, Sept 27 (Bernama-WAFA) --  Thousands of activists, members of human rights organisation, and representatives from Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities have demonstrated outside the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York City, Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.

The protests came ahead of Netanyahu's scheduled speech at the United Nations General Assembly today, highlighting ongoing concerns about the Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people and the recent escalation of violence in Lebanon.

From the moment Netanyahu arrived in Manhattan for the UN meetings, large demonstrations erupted across several streets, amplifying calls for accountability regarding the atrocities perpetrated by Netanyahu and the Israeli military against the Palestinian people over the past year.

Protesters also decried the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

Activists plan to continue their demonstrations throughout Netanyahu's stay in New York, aiming to pressure delegations attending the General Assembly to act swiftly to end the ongoing Israeli onslaught.
