SHAH ALAM, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Selangor government hopes that Budget 2025 to be tabled by the Federal Government can provide an impetus in the allocation for the empowerment of the electrical and electronics (E&E) industry, flood mitigation and logistics in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the financial impetus was necessary in line with the aggressive measures taken by his administration in developing the semiconductor industry in Selangor.

He said the state government also focused on efforts to complete and upgrade flood mitigation projects, specifically from the Hulu Langat District up to Sepang.

"The same with the rejuvenation or redevelopment project of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, which I feel can help us in developing the state.

"… the same with certain funds to upgrade federal roads like Jalan Pelabuhan Klang, Meru and so on, which have been the basic grievance for a long time,” he said after the Foreign Nationals Integrated Operation headed by the Immigration Department in Taman Sri Muda here today.

Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was reported to have said that Budget 2025, to be tabled on Oct 18, is targeted at raising the people's living standards and advancing the country's development.
