KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- A career carnival, helmet exchange programme, summons reduction counter, MADANI sales, and health checks are among the activities in the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) programme that will take place over three days starting from Nov 22 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here.

Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (Pacu) senior assistant director Nurul Hidayah Abdul Ghani said the 20 employers will participate in the career carnival, offering 1,500 job opportunities, while the MADANI sales will involve 100 entrepreneurs selling goods at reasonable prices.

"On Saturday and Sunday (Nov 22-23), the National Convention on Civil Service Reform 2024 will also take place, which among other things involves the presentation of the status of the civil service reform agenda, the announcement of the Kuala Lumpur declaration of Joint Commitment of the Malaysia’s Public Service, and the launch of the circular on bureaucratic red tape reform and circular on regulatory trial," she said.

Nurul Hidayah, who said this in an interview on National.FM radio today, added that besides organising various activities suitable for all layers of society, the programme themed 'MADANI Di Hati, Rakyat Disantuni' also serves as a platform to publicise the current achievements of the MADANI government, especially this year, in addition to promoting the reform agenda in the civil service.

This is through the organisation of engagement sessions with ministries, departments and agencies, as well as showcasing the achievements of the MADANI government according to segments such as economy, social, security, education and infrastructure, which is hoped to build confidence through periodic achievement reporting.

"The organisation of this programme gives opportunities for the community to interact by giving input, views, and feedback to the government so that it can provide better services, in addition to (visitors) being able to know and understand the policies and initiatives undertaken by the government for the welfare of the people," she said.

Nurul Hidayah said preparations are now being actively carried out to ensure the smooth running of the 2TM programme, which is expected to be attended by more than 230,000 visitors.

The 2TM programme, organised by the PMO through Pacu as the main secretariat, in collaboration with the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) and MADANI Monitoring Unit, is scheduled to be launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 11 am on Nov 23.
