KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd was honoured with the inaugural ‘World Islamic Banking Excellence Award’ at the prestigious World Muslim Leadership Forum (WMLF) 2024 in London, United Kingdom (UK), last Friday (Nov 22).
The award was presented by the Minister of State in the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions Sir Stephen Timms, to Bank Muamalat chairman Tan Sri Tajuddin Atan and its president and chief executive officer Khairul Kamarudin at the historic House of Lords, Palace of Westminster.

Commenting on the award, Tajuddin said that the recognition underscores the team’s dedication and reaffirms their commitment to delivering innovative and ethical banking solutions.
