ABU DHABI, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- The third Global Media Congress kicked off here Tuesday as industry players gathered to discuss the future in the wake of a changing media landscape.

Media leaders, experts, and technology companies from around the world are taking part in the three-day event, which showcases the latest trends and opportunities in the industry.

Among the key highlights of the congress is a discussion on AI and its impact on content creation, news production, and reliability.

The Congress is organised by the ADNEC Group in collaboration with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) under the theme “Envision, Engage, Empower".

The organisers are also conducting workshops to allow media practitioners to gain insights into cutting-edge technologies and methodologies shaping the future of the sector.

The workshops focus on key themes such as sustainability, sports broadcasting, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Despite reports that global spending by advertisers is expected to continue to grow, the media industry is still adapting to digital disruption caused by the internet and social media over the past two decades.
