KOTA KINABALU, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Sabah FC will face Kuching City FC in tomorrow night’s Super League match at the State Stadium in Kuching without six key players who are sidelined due to injuries.
Interim coach Alto Linus said the players injured following their Malaysia Cup match against PT Athletic FC are Gabriel Peres, Saddil Ramdani, Miguel Cifuentes, Farhan Roslan, Kwan Ming Ko and Darren Lok.
Alto acknowledged that Sabah FC’s preparations are slightly affected by the absence of these players but said it provides an opportunity for other players to step up.
“We recognise that Kuching City FC are one of the best teams in the Super League, but we are confident of giving our best,” he said in a statement today.
The Rhinos currently rank third in the Super League standings with 26 points, compared to The Cats who are in fifth place with 18 points.
