KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- Wasco Berhad (Wasco), a leading integrated energy solutions provider, announced its membership in the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei, further cementing its commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.
Wasco's Group chief executive officer Giancarlo Maccagno in a statement today said this step reflects the company’s dedication to creating meaningful impact.
“At Wasco, we believe the strength of a company lies in the integrity of its actions. Joining the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei reflects our commitment to advancing human dignity, building fair and inclusive workplaces, and embedding accountability into everything we do.

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with over 20,000 participating companies across 160 countries and more than 60 Global Compact Networks.
It encourages businesses to align their operations and strategies with ten universally recognised principles covering human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption, while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Wasco said this membership reinforces its focus on long-term value creation, ethical practices and innovation while connecting with a global network of businesses committed to meaningful change.
