PUTRAJAYA, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has called on the media to play a pivotal role in showcasing Malaysia’s leadership and values as the nation assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
In his Season's Greetings and New Year Wishes, the Foreign Minister commended the media’s unwavering support throughout 2024, acknowledging its critical role in spotlighting Malaysia’s achievements and strengthening its global presence.
“As we draw closer to the end of another remarkable year, I would like to extend my heartfelt season's greetings and best wishes for the New Year to all of you.
“Your tireless dedication in sharing Malaysia’s stories with the world has been invaluable, and I deeply appreciate the partnership and support you have extended to the Foreign Ministry throughout 2024.
“As we look ahead to 2025, a year filled with aspirations and opportunities, particularly as Malaysia assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship, I am confident that your continued collaboration will play a pivotal role in amplifying our nation’s voice and values on the global stage,” he said.
Mohamad also conveyed his personal wishes for the festive season, saying: “May this festive season bring joy, peace and warmth to you and your loved ones, and may the New Year usher in prosperity, health and success for all.
“Thank you for being an integral part of Malaysia’s journey. I look forward to engaging with you in the year ahead,” he said.
