MUSK CLAIMS UK’S STARMER TRIED TO UNDERMINE US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

13/01/2025 05:32 PM

MOSCOW, Jan 13 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- US billionaire Elon Musk on Monday accused UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer of sending agents to the United States in order to undermine the recent presidential election in the country, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

"He sent operatives to America to undermine the US election!" Musk claimed in a post on X, commenting on a post that said Starmer had not been invited to the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

In early January, Musk accused the UK prime minister of being "deeply complicit" in a scandal involving the mass rape of girls by gangs in the United Kingdom, pointing out that Starmer was the head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013 when the rapes were happening.

A presidential election took place in the United States on Nov 5, 2024. Republican candidate Donald Trump, who served as the US president from 2017 to 2021, was declared the winner by all leading race callers and networks. Democratic candidate Kamala Harris conceded defeat.

The Electoral College voted in accordance with the will of the voters on Dec 17, 2024, while the new Congress approved the results of the vote on Jan 6. The presidential inauguration will take place on Jan 20.
