MOSCOW, Jan 21 (Bernama-TASS) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping reached an agreement during Tuesday’s talks to continue strengthening BRICS as an instrument of ensuring a multipolar world order, Russian News Agency (TASS) reported citing Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov.
According to Ushakov, this matter was among those discussed by the two leaders when Putin and Xi held a video call earlier in the day.
"The leaders expressed interest in further facilitation of strengthening [of BRICS] as a key instrument of setting a multipolar world order," he said.
Putin and Xi Jinping stated that the two countries’ positions on most foreign policy issues are identical, Ushakov added.
