SHAH ALAM, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- Kay’s Steak & Lobster has further consolidated its brand with the opening of its fourth outlet at Elmina Temu, fresh from recording RM17 million in sales last year from its three existing outlets.
Its managing director, Aizuddin Khalid said obtaining halal certification was one of the key factors that contributed to the restaurant’s growing popularity, in addition to its ability to attract non-Muslim diners from within and outside the country.
With a seating capacity of 60, the latest outlet offers an exciting dining experience, featuring its signature dishes like Garlic Butter Lobster, Signature Beef Wellington and Ribeye Steak.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive, especially since we introduced the halal-certified Signature Beef Wellington as it’s quite difficult to find a halal version of this dish, even in Malaysia.
“All our dishes are prepared by 12 professional and experienced chefs using premium imported ingredients, such as lobsters from the United States and Canada and beef from Australia,” he told Bernama at the opening of the new outlet at Elmina Temu here today.
Aizuddin said customers who have dined at the restaurant, known for delivering an exceptional gastronomic experience, often praise the freshness of the lobsters served.
He said Kay’s Steak & Lobster only uses fresh lobsters and customers are given the freedom to choose the size that best suits their budget and preference.
“Although lobsters are generally expensive, both new and returning customers are willing to pay because they trust the quality of our dishes.
“There’s no need to worry about freshness, as we receive new seafood stock daily. Our operations also strictly adhere to halal standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he said.
Aizuddin also revealed plans for further expansion, with a new outlet set to open at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) in Bukit Kiara in August.
For the upcoming Ramadan, the restaurant is actively developing new strategies, especially regarding special menu offerings to cater to diners during the fasting month.
Kay’s Steak & Lobster currently operates daily from 12 pm to 10 pm at its outlets in Putra Heights, Ampang, Putrajaya and Elmina Temu, except on Fridays when it opens from 4 pm to 10 pm.
