KOTA BHARU, Feb 8 (Bernama) – Lack of training is one of the main reasons why Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC) continue to struggle in the Super League this season, said the team’s Assistant Head Coach, Kamaruddin Muhammad.
He said the team face preparation issues as players do not undergo sufficient daily training to compete with other teams.
“We do not train every day; instead, we are only called up to play. The players were only gathered two days ago and had a training session before facing Penang FC tonight (last night).
“In a week, we only train two or three days, making it difficult for the team to compete with other Super League teams like Penang FC, who have experience and a full quota of foreign players,” he told the post-match press conference at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadiumhere last night.
KDN FC, consisting of young local players, suffered a heavy 1-6 defeat against the visitors.
According to Kamaruddin, KDN FC are now merely completing their remaining Super League fixtures as they are unable to compete competitively.
Therefore, he hopes that the management will take immediate action to address the issues faced by the team to ensure that KDN FC can provide stronger competition against their opponents.
“I also hope that in the future, KDN FC will be managed by a more capable coach who can help the team compete more effectively,” he added.
