PASIR MAS, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Muhibbah reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the community by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rantau Panjang state assembly today.
Director, Lo Nyok Mooi, stated that under the MoU, the foundation will continue to provide aid for the next two years, extending the assistance given during last year’s monsoon season.
“As we know, Rantau Panjang is among the worst-affected areas during floods. This MoU ensures continued support for those in need.
“This is Yayasan Muhibbah’s first MoU with a state assembly. Through this partnership, aid will be provided based on current needs, not only for flood relief but also for school assistance, Ramadan preparations, festive support, and other emergencies,” she told reporters after the signing ceremony for the Rantau Panjang Food Bank MoU today.
Since November last year, Yayasan Muhibbah has distributed seven trailer loads of aid worth RM1 million to flood victims and aims to provide RM5 million in assistance over the next two years.
Active since 2018, the foundation has secured contributions from numerous corporate entities, including from Singapore and Hong Kong, covering food, stationery, furniture, beverages, and frozen food.
