An analysis by UniSZA's East Coast Environmental Research Institute (ESERI) previously indicated that the lake's Water Quality Index (WQI) had deteriorated to Class IV.
Following the project's implementation, the WQI improved significantly to Class II.
Additionally, the new water treatment system can produce up to 500,000 liters of treated water daily.
“This project enhances UniSZA's reputation in promoting environmental sustainability among higher education institutions," Fadzli added.
