NILAI, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- A female technician was killed in a four-vehicle collision on Jalan Persiaran Nilai, near here, at 7.25 am today.
Nilai police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim said that initial investigations revealed that the accident occurred when a Volvo lorry, driven by a 34-year-old man from Puchong, Selangor, lost control and skidded, before crashing into the rear of a Proton Saga car driven by the 23-year-old victim.
“The impact caused the Proton Saga to ram into the rear of a Proton Waja car, driven by a 59-year-old man, which then hit a Nissan lorry in front of it,” he said in a statement, today.
He added that the female driver suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Proton Waja driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban for treatment.
Meanwhile, both lorry drivers escaped unhurt, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
