KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- The Sarawak state government, through the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), continues to strengthen its global presence via participation in the world’s premier connectivity and technology event, Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025, to be held March 3-6, 2025.
In a statement today, SMA said the delegation will showcase Sarawak’s advancements in digital economy, investment opportunities, renewable energy, smart city solutions and emerging technologies at the Sarawak Pavilion, reinforcing its vision of a sustainable, technology-driven future.
“The Sarawak Pavilion will feature key state government agencies, government-linked companies, and private sector partners, reflecting its commitment to digital transformation and fostering innovation in line with the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030,” it said.
Activities include business matching sessions and strategic networking engagements, offering opportunities to collaborate with global industry leaders and secure high-impact partnerships.
“By participating in premier global events like MWC Barcelona, Sarawak strengthens its position as a progressive digital hub, open for collaboration and investments.
“This marks a strategic milestone in positioning Sarawak as a leading hub for digital innovation, economic transformation, and technology-driven growth,” it said.
As Sarawak continues to push its digital agenda forward, the state government remains dedicated to building a thriving, technology-driven ecosystem that empowers businesses, enhances public services, and drives sustainable economic development, said SMA.
