KUCHING, March 12 (Bernama) -- Kuching City FC comfortably defeated Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC 3-0 in a rescheduled Super League match at the Sarawak Stadium tonight.

The match, originally played on Jan 24, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and resumed from the 17th minute.

The home team started aggressively in the first half, launching continuous attacks to break down the defence of Victor Andrag’s squad.

Kuching City’s persistence paid off in the 44th minute when former national striker Ahmad Hazwan Bakri found the net, capitalising on a pass from Tchetche Kipre to put The Cats ahead.

In the second half, Aidil Sharin Sahak’s men wasted no time doubling their lead after Muhammad Ramadhan Saifullah Usman struck in the 58th minute from a corner kick.

Substitute forward Jordan Mintah then lived up to expectations, scoring Kuching City’s third goal in added time.

The win lifts Kuching City above Terengganu to fourth place in the Super League standings with 33 points.
