NADIA KESUMA LAID TO REST IN DHAHBAN CEMETERY IN JEDDAH

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Actress Nadiah Kasumawati, who died on Jan 15, was laid to rest at Dhahban Cemetery in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 7.35 am local time on Monday, in the presence of her husband and daughter, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said.

In a statement on Monday, the ministry said Malaysia’s Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah worked closely with the next of kin and local authorities to facilitate and coordinate all necessary funeral and burial arrangements.

The Ministry also expressed its appreciation to all the parties involved, in particular the Saudi Arabian government, King Fahd Hospital, and other relevant agencies, for their assistance on this matter.

Nadiah, popularly known as Nadia Kesuma, who was taking part in a Umrah-London-Paris tour package, was reported to have died of a heart attack in Jeddah last Thursday - the same day she was reported missing.
