WEI CHONG-KAI WUN OUT OF INDONESIA MASTERS AFTER LOSING TO INDONESIANS MOH REZA-SABAR

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- Indonesia Masters defending champions Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun failed to defend their title after they lost to Indonesians Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani-Sabar Karyaman Gutama today.

The Indonesians took only 38 minutes to defeat the Malaysians 22-20, 21-19 at Istora Senayan. 

Meanwhile, professional doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani took a mere 34 minutes to beat South Koreans Song Hyun Cho–Lee Jing Min 21-17, 21-13 in their quarterfinal match today to set up their semifinal match against either Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard of Denmark or South Korean-Malaysian combination, Choi Sol Gyu–Goh V Shem tomorrow.

In the women’s doubles, Pearly Tan-M Thinaah kept to predictions to advance to the semifinals by beating South Koreans Kim Yu Jung-Lee Yu Lim 21-15, 21-9 in 29 minutes. They will meat either Taiwanese pair Hsu Ya Ching-Sung Yu Hsuan or Indonesians Lanny Tria Mayasari-Apriyani Rahayu.

National mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei also qualified for the semifinals after they beat Singaporean-Indonesian pair Terry Hee-Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 21-16, 21-19, where they will take on world number two Jiang Zhen Bang–Wei Ya Xin of China.

Finally, national women’s singles player K Letshanaa will meet Thailand’s Pitchamon Opatniputh in the semifinals after beating sixth seed Huang Yu-Hsun of Taiwan 21-17, 21-18.
