KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- National women's squash ace S. Sivasangari is the only Malaysian left standing in the Windy City Open 2026 after defeating Egypt's Kenzy Ayman 11-5, 11-4, 10-12, 11-6 in the round of 16 in Chicago, the United States, on Saturday.
The sixth-seeded Sivasangari, who needed 36 minutes to overcome Ayman, is set to face another Egyptian, third-seeded Nour Elsherbini, in the quarter-finals later today (US time).
Meanwhile, it was the end of the road for Ng Eain Yow and Aira Azman after they lost their round-of-16 matches on Saturday.
Eain Yow fell 8-11, 4-11, 7-11 to second seed Paul Coll of New Zealand in a 49-minute men’s singles clash, while Aira bowed out of the women’s event after losing 3-11, 8-11, 8-11 to fourth seed Olivia Weaver of the United States in 24 minutes.
