GOLD FUTURES END LOWER, TRACKING WEAKER US COMEX

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives eased on Thursday, tracking weaker US Comex gold futures.

At the close, the spot-month February 2026 contract eased to US$5,011.90 per troy ounce from US$5,021.90 per troy ounce on Monday.

March fell to US$5,028.90 per troy ounce from US$5,038.90 per troy ounce, while both April and May declined to US$5,046.60 per troy ounce from US$5,056.50 per troy ounce.

June and August contracts were also lower, settling at US$5,080.50 per troy ounce, down from US$5,090.40 per troy ounce.

Trading volume decreased to six lots from 10 lots on Monday, and open interest fell to 83 contracts from 98 contracts previously. 

Physical gold was fixed at US$5,003.30 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on Feb 18, 2026. 

Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries were closed on Feb 17, 2026 (Tuesday) and Feb 18, 2026 (Wednesday) in conjunction with the Chinese New Year public holiday.
