TEHRAN, March 2 (Bernama-dpa) -- Iran's Red Crescent said at least 555 people have been killed as a result of joint Israeli-United States (US) attacks, according to the Fars News Agency on Monday, reported German Press Agency (dpa).
In a statement, the aid organisation said more than 100,000 rescue workers have been deployed nationwide and that over 130 regions are affected by the war.
Since Saturday, Israel and the US said they have struck hundreds of targets across Iran, including missile launch sites, facilities linked to Iran’s nuclear programme, military headquarters and senior members of the political leadership.
The capital, Tehran, was again heavily bombarded on Sunday. Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed on Saturday.
