JAKARTA, March 12 (Bernama) -- Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday held talks on the escalating military situation in West Asia and its implications for regional and global peace.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on social media that the discussions took place during a phone call between the two leaders.
The ministry said Prabowo, during the conversation, emphasised the need for an immediate halt to military actions in the region, warning that continued escalation could undermine regional security and stability.
He also underscored the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to prevent further deterioration of the situation and to safeguard peace in the region.
Tensions in West Asia have escalated in recent days following a series of military actions, raising concerns among regional and international leaders over the risk of broader instability.
