TEHRAN, March 30 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- More than 130 historical sites in Iran have been damaged during the conflict with the United States and Israel, the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism said in a statement on Monday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"The number of damaged world and national historic sites has risen to 131," the statement read.
Sixty-four tourist attractions were also damaged, the ministry added.
On Feb 28, the US and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded by striking Israeli territory and US military facilities in West Asia.
